Dynamic Information Flow Tracking (DIFT) on Zynq SoC/Contrôle de flux d’information sur Zynq SoC.

Abstract: During the last decade, number of security vulnerabilites has grown steadily. Nowadays, many attacks exploit low level mechanisms. In the context of computer security, it is necessary to add a mechanism to avoid these software attacks. Dynamic Information Flow Tracking (DIFT) allows to protect against several software attacks (e.g. buffer overflow, crosssite scripting, injection SQL, data leakage, etc). After presenting DIFT, we will have a look at DIFT implementation on Zynq SoC. Especially, we will see how CoreSight debug components can be used to efficiently implement DIFT. A demonstration of the current prototype will be shown to understand how it protects against data leakage.
